This home was
designed in partnership with the client and built by us.
The home features
3,000 square feet of living space with a 2 ˝ car garage. The
design was in line with trends current at the time, as reflected
in the clerestory windows, roof lines and conservative use of
windows. One of the main goals of this project was to create a
very energy-efficient structure. This was accomplished through
the strategic placement of windows, 6” wall construction and the
most extensive use of insulation products.
The metal roof,
while not popular for residential projects at the time, gave the
home a roof to last the life of the building. The roof also
sheds the snow that is so abundant in Northern Michigan winters.
