Built early in the 20th century, this home is one of Charlevoix's classic older homes. When we began this project this house was over 80 years old and structurally sound.

It was a very large project in scope due to three levels on a basement foundation and 24 rooms.
This renovation is probably best described by categories:

• Old building materials were replaced: roofing, siding, windows and doors, etc. for the exterior and plumbing, heating and electrical for the interior.

• Increased outdoor living space by enclosing a porch with screening and adding an upper deck that leads to a ground- level, free form deck. Outdoor lighting and electronics were also added. Extensive landscaping and irrigation systems completed the exterior.

• For the interior, we made minor changes to the structure, re-configuring some spaces and re-plastered the house. Every room received attention and when you view the pictures you will notice that, although the exterior is a very traditional style, the interior features a variety of "time-honored" materials and surfaces in an eclectic style.
